April 2015

Before I forget, in my last post I promised more (and better) pictures from our Arboretum visit.  Here you go!

At the beginning of the month we took advantage of no rain and Nathan having the morning off BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) and headed to the zoo.  We LOVE our membership and recently renewed it again for another year.  There is currently a dinosaur exhibit visiting.  The girls were a little unsure about the anamatronic dinosaurs, but enjoyed the puppet show.  We also saw the bird show, but I didn't get any pictures.

It was POURING rain Easter morning and we had to be at church super early so no pictures.  The girls dresses from last year still fit so they got to wear them again.  =)  Our sweet neighbor came over that afternoon once the rain stopped and hid eggs in our yard.  The girls had so much fun finding them.

While we've had some beautiful sunny weather, we have had LOTS of rain this month.  More than the last few years.  We desperately need it, but we miss playing outside and being able to take pictures.  This Grammy day the rain held off until evening so we walked up to the college (about a mile walk from my parent's house).  We got to see ducks, geese, and turtles...always a favorite.  And there were some really pretty wild flowers blooming.

Spring in Texas means pictures in the bluebonnets.  Nathan DOES NOT understand this tradition, but he graciously goes along with it because he loves me.  =)  It was super windy and there were several other people waiting their turn.  Thankfully they girls were pretty cooperative and I'm pleased with what we got.  Here's a few of my favorites!
