Zoo in May

Nathan and I both love the zoo and our girls do too.  So this year we decided to buy a membership to the Dallas Zoo.  Daddy took a week off work in mid May, so we headed out to enjoy the animals and cooler than normal weather.  We had lots of fun!  I took pictures with our camera and my mom was kind enough to edit a few of them for me.  Enjoy!

I took more pictures, there are just some favorites.  I'll post them all to Facebook though.  =)

Seventeen Months

Abigail talks ALL THE TIME!  She will consistently combine two words and sometimes three.  She is also trying to mimic more of what we say.  Here are the new words that I can remember she says: hot dog, flower, circle, hop, shirt, pants, diaper, hug, hair, lap, funny, bagel, buggy (bug), doggy, meow, tree, kix, chicken, neck, swing, sun, hat, hug, kiss, and I know there are more.

As I've blogged about before, both girls LOVE Veggie Tales.  Abigail has fallen in love with the Cheeseburger Song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EI9yvAx3uCQ).  She gets very excited when it comes on Pandora and she asks us to sing it all the time.  She is constantly saying "grr grr's please."  She requests this song before her naps now.  Silly girl!

She has also spent a lot of time looking at books in the last few weeks.  She's always enjoyed them, but she will look at them for at least 30 minutes now before moving on to something else.  She gets two off the shelf, brings them to look at next to me, and then puts them next to the book shelf and gets two more.  And she occasionally lets me read all the words to one book.  =)

Abigail loves to walk.  She can go all the way around the block, but gets distracted trying to pick up every leaf and stick!  =O Still trying to keep up with Hannah too.  She thinks she can do whatever big sister does!

5/12/13

Even though we've had weird weather this spring, we have actually had some nice days.  Trying to enjoy the outdoors when we can.  As I said in Abigail's post, we took the girls to the Arboretum for several hours one morning.  We enjoyed the beautiful flowers and a yummy picnic.

We've enjoyed wagon rides, playing at the park, taking walks, blowing dandelions and bubbles.  Hannah has also had lots of fun playing with my sister and I's old cabbage patch dolls.  My mom found them while cleaning out her house last summer.  Hannah named this one Eliza.  She enjoys rocking her, changing her diaper, and wrapping her in a blanket for her nap.  What a good mommy!

Hannah has such fun in her pretend play...especially with her imaginary friend.  She lays out blankets and gets food from her kitchen and has a picnic.  She also loves to put on her backpack and go to school or her purse and go to the store.

Last year we found a great bluebonnet patch that was close to my house.  We had great plans to go there again this year.  With all the weird weather there were almost no flowers in that field.  FINALLY found a different patch not too far away.  My mom is behind on photos due to several paying clients she done shoots for, so stay tuned.
